Collective
VäkeväCollective was established in 2012 to work as a contemporary art platform for dancers, musicians and stage designers. The collective members share a common interest in the possibilities of Finnish folklore. Their aim is to approach tradition through the means of performing arts and to establish new structures for professional activity/work in the field of folklore and folk art. A Finnish word Väkevä means strong or powerful. It also has another meaning, refering to folk and people.

VäkeväKollektiivi on vuonna 2012 perustettu yhteisö, jonka tarkoituksena on toimia eri taiteenaloja edustavien nuorten yhteisenä toiminta-alustana. Kollektiivia yhdistää väkevä näkemys suomalaisen kansanperinteen mahdollisuuksista tässä päivässä. Toiminnan tavoitteena on lähestyä traditiota esittävien taiteiden kautta ja luoda rakenteita ammattimaiselle toiminnalle kansantaiteen alueella.
